FROM THE POST-WAR PERIOD TO THE PRESENT DAY

A Journey Through Time

Castello S. Antonio Hotel
The Birth

After the Second World War

In the immediate post-war period, during Italy's golden age, a noble French family moved to Lake Garda and decided to build an original residence inspired by the Scaligero Castle in Lazise.

Count Vidar de S. Claire, a man of rather unusual creativity, was so enchanted that he remained there permanently for about 30 years.

The Vanessi Family

In 1980, the Vanessi family (represented by “grandfather” Arduino) acquired the property and converted it into a tourist accommodation facility, carefully renovating the interior and exterior spaces while preserving the existing architectural features of “Il Castello”.

Towards the end of the 1980s, what is now known as the Dependance was built, a modern building with a picturesque view of Lake Garda, located about 80 metres from the main building.

The property also has a small swimming pool with a view of the lake, available to guests to cool off on hot summer days, typical of the lake climate.

“Since 1980, our family has been passionately dedicated to providing guests with an unforgettable experience, where history and comfort blend perfectly.”
